This site is dedicated to promoting the idea of a real god that can easily be proven to exist. Science says that Earth made us and gave us a place to live. Religion says that God made us and gave us a place to live. If they're both right (and they are), then Earth is God!--an idea as obvious as the whole world. Do you want proof this god exists? Just look out the window! Here is an idea that is self evident, that brings God down to Earth, (where God has been all along!), that unifies all life on Earth, and that ends the religious confusion that currently exists. Everyone is a child of this god. So, if you want to know what God wants, just think of what Earth would want and you will come up with some pretty good answers!
What about that infinite, all-knowing god that rules the entire universe?
This concept has problems. If you say God is everything, then that is the same as saying everything is everything, which means you really haven't said anything meaningfull at all. How could an infinite god ever know its entire self, and by the way, where did this god come from? If you say "Well, God has always been here", then the response is "Why can't I say the universe has always been here and dispense with God entirely?" Another thing: If God is infinite, then God has no outward boundaries, and hence cannot be defined (or perhaps an infinte boundary enclosing a finite space containing an infinite fractal leaving God to be defined as an equation which is someting Plato may have liked). If you reject God being an equation then you can't define what you're talking about. In that case then I have to ask, what are you talking about?
Tragically, because of this, this god ends up being defined as whatever people want it to be and so they can't all agree and end up fighting terrible wars over it. Not only that, but quantum mechanics suggests that if any entity knew everything, the universe couldn't exist. Lastly, who are humans to say that a god they think looks like them rules the whole universe? Any other species of intelligent, god-knowing entities in this universe would probably be a bit suspicious of such conceit.
This concept of a God leaves one with far too many questions left to answer and needs to be better defined if it is ever going to be a non-violent and workable philosophy free of elemental fascist thinking. If God is brought down to Earth for all to know and see then the anti-democratic fascism inherent in pure monotheism must be unmasked and then evaporate away. An easy way to do this is to define God as the Earth. This definition instantly gives one spiritual ground to stand on and provides a real personal recognition of a real God that is right here right now and has been for quite some time. It eliminates any "need" for some humans to lord it over other humans for (in the service of) God and helps free humans from their narcissistic tendencies making them think it's all about them. This definition really does allow a new golden age of enlightenment and discovery for mankind to occur.
